Sea Canoeing

The hong, or "rooms", of Phang Nga Bay and Krabi are collapsed cave systems open to the sky, filled with jungle flora and fauna, and often accessible only in tough, purpose-designed inflatable canoes through sea-caves at low tide. Local operators, like Sea Cave Canoe, have so far gained access to dozens of hongs between Phang Nga and Krabi to the south.

Surfing

During the monsoon season , when conditions are at their prime, there are a number of beaches where local and visiting surfers can now regularly be spotted making the most of southwesterly winds and prevailing on-shore surf (See Beaches). Phuket even hosts it's own surfing competition - the Phuket Quiksilver Surfing Contest - at Kata Beach. So if you feel like catching some waves - check out some of the local beaches during the months of June to October.
