Phuket has a number of banks that provide standard services, Mondays
to Fridays, except public and bank holidays, between 8.30am and
3.30pm. Most major banks are found in Phuket Town and in Patong,
with one or two also to be found in Cherng Talay and Karon Beach.
Currency exchange centers also operate from several locations around
the entire area from 7.00am to 9.00pm, seven days a week including
holidays, and most major hotels will provide some exchange services
